Terms of Service

Welcome to 228.dev. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Pinksheep, Inc. (“228.dev”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and they apply whenever you use our website, our mobile app, our catalog, or any component you install from it (together, the “Services”). Please read them carefully, together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal information.

By creating an account, buying a plan, or connecting a coding tool to your account, you agree to these Terms. If you are using 228.dev on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that company, and “you” includes the company.

1. About 228.dev

228.dev is a catalog of prebuilt mobile interface components and screens for people building iOS and Android apps. You can browse and preview designs, save them to collections, and install the source code into your own projects through a supported coding tool.

Each item lists the frameworks it is available in. We may add, update, or retire items over time, and we will describe what is available on the item itself.

2. Your account

You need to be at least 16 years old to create an account and at least 18 to buy a paid plan. You agree to give us accurate information and to keep your sign-in details secure. Each account is for one person, so please do not share your login with anyone else.

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including actions taken by coding tools you have connected to it. If you think someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us straight away at hello@228.dev.

If you are part of a team account, the team owner and admins manage billing, membership, and connected tools. Components installed for a team remain licensed to the team when an individual member leaves.

3. Plans, credits, and payment

228.dev offers a free plan and paid subscription plans. The current prices, billing periods, and what each plan includes are shown on our pricing page and at checkout. Prices are in US dollars and do not include taxes unless we say so. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.

Plans include credits, which you use to install components. Credits included with a plan apply to that billing period and reset when the next period begins. You can also buy additional credit packs, which stay on your account until you use them. Credits are a usage allowance for the Services only. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for money.

Payments are handled by our third-party payment processor, and your purchase is also subject to its terms.

4. Automatic renewal and cancellation

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period, and we will charge your payment method at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and your account then moves to the free plan. Your saved collections and the components you have already installed stay with you.

If we change the price of your plan, we will let you know in advance, and the new price will apply from your next billing period. If a payment fails, we may retry it, and if it still cannot be collected your account will move to the free plan.

5. Refunds

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable, and we do not provide partial refunds for unused time in a billing period. That said, we want you to be happy with 228.dev, so we will refund:

To request a refund, email hello@228.dev. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded, including the Australian Consumer Law and the consumer laws of the European Union and the United Kingdom.

6. Licence to installed components

When you install a component from 228.dev, we grant you an ongoing, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use that component as described in this section. Your licence continues even if you later cancel your subscription, change plans, or close your account.

You may

You may not

We keep ownership of the original components, and you own the changes you make to them. Fonts included with a component are covered by their own licence, which is included alongside them. We may end the licence for a component if it was obtained through fraud, if the payment for it is reversed, or if you seriously breach this section.

7. Acceptable use

You agree to use 228.dev lawfully and in good faith. In particular, you agree not to:

You also agree not to use 228.dev, your Google account, or any information available through the Services to create, upload, or share sexually explicit or intimate imagery of any person without their consent, including AI-generated imagery. 228.dev does not use Google APIs or Google user data to create, upload, or share AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery.

8. Your content

You own the content you add to 228.dev, such as collection names, profile details, and feedback. You give us permission to store and display that content so we can provide the Services to you. If you send us suggestions or requests, we may use them to improve 228.dev without any obligation to you.

9. Third-party tools

228.dev works with coding tools, editors, and AI assistants that are made by other companies. Your use of those tools is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for how they behave, including any changes they make to your code, and you should always review code before you ship it.

10. Our intellectual property

The Services, including the website, the app, the catalog, previews, and the 228.dev name and logo, belong to us or our licensors. Apart from the licence in section 6, these Terms do not give you any rights to them.

If you believe something on 228.dev infringes your copyright, please email hello@228.dev with details of the work and where it appears, and we will look into it promptly.

11. Pre-release features

We sometimes offer early or beta versions of features or of our mobile app. These are provided as they are, may change or be withdrawn, and may not work as reliably as the rest of the Services.

12. Suspension and termination

You can stop using 228.dev and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the Services in a way that creates legal risk or harm. If that happens, your access and any unused credits will end, but licences to components you validly installed will continue, except as described in section 6.

13. Disclaimers

We work hard to make 228.dev reliable and our components high quality, but the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we do not make any promises that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that components will be suitable for a particular purpose, meet app store or accessibility requirements, or be free of defects. You are responsible for reviewing and testing components before using them in production.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your apps, your content, or your breach of these Terms. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you, and nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will let you know by email or through the Services before it takes effect. If you keep using 228.dev after the change, you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, and the courts located in Delaware have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.

17. General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any terms shown at checkout, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services. If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we are not giving it up. We may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business.

18. Contact us

If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at hello@228.dev.
